Adium is a free and open source instant messaging application for Mac OS X that is based on the libpurple protocol library. Adium can connect to multiple messaging accounts on any combination of supported IM services and then chat with other people using those services.
Adium allows you to combine multiple contacts into one entry on your contact list. This is extremely useful when one of your contacts has multiple user names or a user name on multiple services.
Adium supported IM networks/protocols: AIM, ICQ, Google Talk, XMPP (Jabber), MSN, Yahoo!, Bonjour, Gadu-Gadu, Novell Groupwise, SIP/SIMPLE (Text), and Lotus Sametime.
