Google Chrome offers a private browsing feature called Incognito mode prevents the browser from permanently storing any history information or cookies from the websites visited. Incognito mode is similar to the private browsing feature in other web browsers.

What is the difference between Chrome channels: Stable, Beta, Dev, and Canary?

Chrome has four release channels:
  • Stable – The most stable and reliable release of Google Chrome browser, after gotten tested by the “Chrome test team”. Used by most people. It’s updated roughly every two-three weeks for minor releases, and every 6 weeks for major releases.
  • Beta – Allows you to see upcoming features, with minimal risk. A stable version of the “Dev” channel. It’s updated every week roughly, with major updates coming every six weeks.
  • Dev – Development release. More stable than the Canary channel. It’s updated once or twice-weekly.
  • Canary – Experimental version of Chrome, allows you to preview the newest Chrome features available, but probably will have bugs because it’s not tested. Released daily.
